Tall booties for babies

This booties are designed for one size so you can make with sport-weight yarn if you want to make size 1 and with DK
weight for size 2. Hook is a 4 ½ and I used two colors, you can choose to work with one only, or maybe more than two!

Abbreviations:

Sts: stitches
Ch: chain
Sc: single crochet
Hdc: half double crochet
Dc: double crochet
Slst: slip stictch

For the Sole

1°)-Chain 11. Hdc in the 3rdch from hook and in the next 7 sts. Make 6 hdc in the last ch. Continue in the opposite side, 7
hdc and 5 hdc in the last ch. Join to the first hdc with a slst
2°)- Ch 1, hdc in the following 8 sts, 2 hdc in each of the next 5 sts, continue in the opposite side, 8 hdc and 2 hdc in each
of the next 5 sts. Join to the first hdc.
3°)- Ch 1, hdc in the next 8 hdc, then 2 hdc in one st, 1 hdc in the next st (5 times). Continue in the opposite side with 8
hdc, 2hdc, in one st, 1 hdc in the next st (5 times). Join to the first hdc with slst.
4°)- Ch 1, sc only in back loops of each st. (46 sc)
5°-6°-7°)- Sc in each st, in both loops
8°)- Ch 1. Sc in the following 3 sts, then 1 decrease, 1 sc 8 times. Sc in the following 19 sts. Join to the first with a slst.
9°)- Ch 1. Sc in the following 3 sts, then decrease 8 times. Sc in the next 19 sts, joining to the first with a slst.
10°)-Ch 1, sc in the following 3 sts. Now you have to double crochet in the next 8 sts BUT NOT FINISH THEM. Leave the
last loop in the hook and when you when you finish the last double crochet, yarn over and pull the yarn through the 9
loops in your hook. Sc in the next st, complete the round and join to the first with a slst.

For the Upper:

Turn, ch 2 and then hdc in each 18 sc (total 19 hdc)
Repeat this until you have the desired measure for the upper of the bootie. I made mine of 5 round of 19 hdc.
Now work evenly sc crochet around the upper. When you are back in the first st, sc 3 times for 6 rounds. In 7° round 1
sc, 3 ch, 1 sc. This is your buttonhole
Finish with 2 more rounds of 3 sc. Fasten off

Make the other strip in the same way leaving a space of 2 sts between them.
For the crocheted buttons work with a small hooker, 3 ½ is which I used. Ch 4, join with slst, 6 sc inside the circle of ch.
Slst in each 6 sc. Fasten off. Sew to the bootie
